Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via inbound phone calls, live chats, and emails. Your primary goal will be to provide timely, accurate, and helpful support to our customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via inbound phone calls, live chats, and emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide accurate and helpful support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues efficiently
  • Utilize Zendesk and other ticketing systems to manage customer interactions and resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues related to web and mobile apps, providing clear and concise instructions to customers
  • Multitask in multiple browsers and browser tabs while handling customer communications
  • Walk customers through the process of navigating a mobile app/website and downloading/installing applications
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and show empathy when interacting with customers

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience with Zendesk and other ticketing systems
  • Previous experience in providing Tier 1 level support
  • Strong ability to multitask in multiple browsers and browser tabs while handling customer communications
  • Tech-savvy with Mac, PC, iOS, Chromebook, Kindle Fire, and Android computers/devices and applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Reliable internet speed and service

  • Previous experience in customer support, preferably in the e-book and textbook industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

  • Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of taking pictures

Project Hours and Commitment

  • Project hours: 24/7, with peak times from 6 AM - 4 PM PST
  • Commitment: 20 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of 90 days
  • Orientation begins: December 23, 2024
