About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Support Chat Specialist to join our team. As a member of our Customer Support team, you will have the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts of a large and diverse group of nonprofits, ranging from small nonprofits to large educational institutions to Fortune 500 companies. The primary responsibilities of this role will be responding to inquiries from current and prospective users and donors by chat and email. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to queries from users in a timely and accurate way via live chat and email, ensuring that all interactions are professional, empathetic, and solution-focused.
  • Follow up with unresponsive users and leads to ensure their questions are resolved, demonstrating a proactive approach to customer support.
  • Proactively identify user needs and help customers implement specific features, providing personalized support and guidance to enhance their experience with our platform.
  • Analyze product malfunctions (for example, by testing different scenarios or impersonating users) and report them, contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform.
  • Gather user feedback, feature requests, and workarounds, and proactively suggest improvements, helping to shape the future of our platform and services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience working remotely in the tech industry, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of remote work.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Customer Support Specialist or similar CS role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Experience handling multiple incoming chat requests simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Access to a computer or laptop and reliable internet (2nd monitor recommended), with a strong understanding of the importance of technology in delivering exceptional customer support.
  • Experience using help desk software and remote tools (i.e. Intercom, Slack, Notion), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Agents must provide their own computer and stable internet connection, with a commitment to maintaining a secure and reliable home working environment.
