Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via phone in a fast-paced call center environment. You will provide account maintenance, address refund inquiries, and assist with password resets, among other tasks. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be expected to maintain a working knowledge of current tax laws and policies, staying up-to-date on revised policies, procedures, regulations, and tax laws to accurately educate and advise internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist customers via phone or in person, providing timely and friendly support
  • Review confidential tax information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Provide account maintenance according to tax laws and policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Offer customer support for online self-service functions through the Georgia Tax Center
  • Provide knowledgeable and accurate information, utilizing technology for advanced support

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or GED, combined with at least six months of call center experience handling customer questions, complaints, and/or providing information.

  • Ability to work in a remote environment after completing an onsite training period
