Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Front End Pharmacy Technician. As a Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will perform order entry tasks, collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process, and provide exceptional customer service.

A Day in the Life

As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Performing order entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborating with pharmacists and other team members to ensure the medication dispensing process runs smoothly
  • Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
  • Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
  • Assisting in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure timely processing
  • Providing dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer records

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a call center

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences are preferred:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
