As a leader and creator, you will develop products that positively impact lives. We are looking for a strong GCP/Java Lead to guide teams on complex features using Terraform, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Kubernetes.
- Responsible for technical configuration, design, administration, development, implementation, and support of application and information frameworks used by Commercial Technology products.
- Anticipate, plan, and deliver IT solutions and strategies that enable business value.
- Monitor and manage proactive maintenance of application platform environments.
- Lead and participate in the development of policies and procedures.
- Ensure technology and functional processes comply with architectural and security standards.
- Lead the team in large product enhancements and initiatives.
- Develop innovative technical solutions to complex problems.
- Maintain a solid understanding of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
- Lead the team in system diagramming and documentation.
- Manage relationships with other technical teams and vendors.
- Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
- 70% partnering with architecture, business partners, strategy, coaching, and mentoring; 30% coding.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate would bring the following:
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 5+ years of experience with GCP, Terraform, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Kubernetes.
- 4+ years of Java experience.
- Self-starter with a passion for solving problems through technology.
- Hands-on experience across the entire technology stack.
- Enjoys mentoring others and working in both business and code.
- Ability to bridge the gap between Architecture and Engineering, providing thought leadership.
- Knowledge of Agile practices/tools, including TDD and paired programming.
- Prior experience leading a team.
