Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing support, guidance, proper follow-up, and resolution to client inquiries or issues. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, and your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will make all the difference in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist customers with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints, and problems
- Enter orders into our system for billing and delivery
- Prepare quotes and coordinate mailings of literature and samples
- Coordinate delivery schedules with our dispatch team
- Retrieve needed information for our credit department
- Issue credits or debits accurately when applicable
- Set up new customers for our sales force
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Take sales orders from sales representatives and customers by phone, fax, and email
- Run credit card and check approvals
- Categorize, file, and maintain paperwork for audit purposes and file all customer records
- Print and distribute e-mailed customer purchase orders
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as needed
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent or comparable in related experience
- Detailed-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills
- Good basic math skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with a multi-line phone system
- Pleasant phone personality and ability to multi-task
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers to use a computer and keyboard
- Bending and some lifting may be required
- Extensive writing and phone use
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tasks that can be very repetitive
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:
- Previous customer service experience in a similar industry or environment
- Experience with CRM software and other customer-facing systems
- Knowledge of outdoor living solutions and products
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
