Job Overview

We are currently hiring part-time/casual staff (19 hours per week or less) for various positions in our retail operations, including Sales, Print Shop Technology, Loss Prevention, and Textbooks. As a part-time/casual Customer Service & Sales Assistant at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales and service initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers, demonstrating "active selling" and providing product information and guidance to ensure a high-quality customer service experience
• Assist in maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, setting up seasonal promotions/visual displays, and regularly monitoring assigned areas for product restocking and recovery
• Operate cash registers, assist customers with check-out, and execute appropriate cash handling procedures
• Help receive and process incoming merchandise, assist with special orders and store-to-store shipping requests, and possibly handle seasonal perishable goods
• Support the digital and in-store shopping experience by assisting with responding to customer inquiries and providing solutions to customer needs

Essential Qualifications

• Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills, with a passion for working with the public
• Moderate computer/systems competency and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work successfully as part of a team
• Dependability in attendance and punctuality, as well as flexibility in schedule based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior retail sales experience, although not required, is an asset
