Senior AI Developer

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

Description

  • Join Practicebetter as a Senior AI Developer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health and wellness technology. In this exciting remote position, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities into our industry-leading platform. Practicebetter is dedicated to empowering health and wellness practitioners worldwide, providing them with an all-in-one solution to manage their practices, deliver exceptional client care, and achieve significant business growth. Since our founding in 2016 by practitioners themselves, we have become the premier EHR and practice management platform in the wellness sector, serving tens of thousands of practitioners across more than 70 countries. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our platform's intelligence, driving innovation, and delivering even greater value to our users.
  • As a Senior AI Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and deployment of AI/ML models and solutions. This includes conceptualizing new AI-driven features, conducting thorough research and experimentation, building robust and scalable models, and integrating them seamlessly into our existing product ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to understand business needs and translate them into effective AI strategies. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, operational efficiency, and competitive edge of our platform.
  • Key responsibilities will encompass designing and implementing machine learning algorithms for various applications such as predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP) for client communication analysis, recommendation engines for personalized wellness plans, and anomaly detection for practice management insights. You will also be involved in data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and optimization, ensuring that our AI solutions are accurate, reliable, and performant.
  • You will champion best practices in AI development, including MLOps principles, version control for models and data, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for AI workflows. This involves setting up monitoring systems to track model performance in production, identifying drift, and implementing retraining strategies to maintain optimal accuracy over time. Your proactive approach to system maintenance and improvement will be crucial for the long-term success of our AI initiatives.
  • Furthermore, you will contribute to the technical roadmap for AI at Practicebetter, identifying emerging trends and technologies that can be leveraged to further enhance our platform. This includes staying abreast of the latest research in AI/ML, evaluating new tools and frameworks, and advocating for their adoption where appropriate. You will also mentor junior developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
  • Collaboration is key in this role. You will engage in regular technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions. You will translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in for AI projects. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across different departments will be vital for driving successful AI implementations.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data acquisition and preparation to model deployment and monitoring. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, applying statistical methods, and utilizing various machine learning techniques. Experience with cloud-based AI platforms and services is highly desirable, as is a passion for the health and wellness industry and a desire to make a tangible impact on the lives of practitioners and their clients.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging problems with real-world applications, contributing to a product that is making a significant difference in the health and wellness landscape. You will have the autonomy to explore innovative solutions and the support of a dynamic and growing company that values technological advancement and employee development. Your work will directly influence the intelligence and capabilities of a platform used by thousands globally, helping them to better serve their clients and grow their practices.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools for model deployment, monitoring, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
