Job Overview

arenaflex is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join its team of innovative professionals. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's insurance business transformation, transitioning from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence at its core. You will be responsible for building high-performance, low-latency platforms and applications, ensuring a seamless experience for customers while maintaining the highest standards of protection and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems to support the company's growing customer base
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle, including testing, to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology products and services
  • Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
  • Define, create, and support reusable application components and patterns from a business and technology perspective
  • Utilize developer tooling and a variety of Azure tools and services to perform advanced-level Java application design, implementation, and maintenance activities
  • Mentor other engineers and consistently share best practices to improve processes within and across teams

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages, such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design. You should also have a strong understanding of web service integration (REST/SOAP) and enterprise middleware integration tiers (Apache Camel, Spring, Spring Boot). Additionally, experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flutter, and React is preferred.

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
  • Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
  • Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle
  • Working experience in CI/CD, Git commands, GitHub source, and Azure

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with Salesforce standard objects, custom object creation, validation rules, and relationships is highly desirable. Knowledge of building and configuring flows, process builders, and Salesforce Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Aura/LWC components is also beneficial. Additionally, experience with enterprise integrations utilizing Event-Based Frameworks and databases such as MS SQL Server and Oracle is preferred.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience is required. You should have at least 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages, including object-oriented design. Additionally, 3+ years of experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems, as well as 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, is required.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive salary range of $66,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
