Business Development Executive (Hybrid, Norwalk, CT)

RELX Inc. is seeking a talented Business Development Executive to join their team in the trade show industry. The role focuses on driving sales and revenue growth through identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and collaborating with various teams to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound leads in a quick timely manner
  • Incorporate value-based selling in customer conversations
  • Maintain pipeline and log activity appropriately in Salesforce
  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer to customize package
  • Prospect new accounts via cold call, email, and social strategies (LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Utilize sales strategies and available sales tools to meet revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their success and satisfaction
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
  • Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activity
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads

Skills

  • Have experience in business development or sales, preferably in the trade show industry
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
