Experienced Customer Service Representative – Utility Services and Customer Support

Job Summary:

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our utility customers, resolving complaints, and processing various transactions. You'll work in a fast-paced office environment, interacting with customers in-person and over the phone, and performing a variety of clerical tasks. Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints concerning utility bills, services, and policies

  • Process customer utility payments through cash registers and balance cash registers and cash boxes daily
  • Process and prepare accounts for utility billing, including maintaining accurate records and making reports as needed
  • Take requests for letters of credit and maintain landlord and rental property files
  • Maintain active utility files and interview the public on matters requiring the interpretation of office policies and procedures
  • Process customer applications for utility services and perform related duties as required
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced office environment

Essential Qualifications:

* High school education or equivalent required; experience in clerical work involving considerable contact with the public and handling money is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and processing transactions
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced office setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in accordance with office policies and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in customer service or a related field

  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to type and perform basic computer tasks
  • Familiarity with utility services and billing processes
