About the Role

As an Operations Training Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in empowering our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for owning the plan, programming, design, and continuous updates of SCADA equipment and software frameworks, ensuring seamless information access for end-users. You will also execute and administer security efforts for the ICS framework, utilizing OpenVPN, VLAN, and CA declaration security models.

Key Responsibilities

* Own the plan, programming, design, and continuous updates of SCADA equipment and software frameworks

  • Create and maintain solutions for continuous and authentic information access for end-users
  • Execute and administer security efforts for the ICS framework, utilizing OpenVPN, VLAN, and CA declaration security models
  • Create and maintain web and virtual services within the environment
  • Provide functional support, working closely with Teams and Support groups to address urgent requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation for change management and foster standard working procedures

Required Capabilities and Abilities

* At least three (3) years of significant experience in SCADA or related fields

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer care
  • Essential programming, database administration, and server organization skills
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks with experience configuring network gear, including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • In-depth knowledge of energy systems, including chilled water, boiling water, compressed air, air conditioning, and lighting system controls
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and determine technical issues independently
  • Adaptability and willingness to work outside regular hours as needed to address work requests, equipment availability, and crises
  • Comfort working in various environments, including field conditions

Preferred Capabilities

* Experience with Building Automation Systems, including Transporter I-Vu Building Automation systems

  • Programming and GUI skills, including programming for Building Automation Frameworks and creating graphical UIs (GUIs)
  • Familiarity with open standards, such as BACnet and Modbus
  • Experience with utility SCADA systems, PLCs, and Step Rationale
  • Experience with utility Broad Control Systems

Education

* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience
