About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist to join our arenaflex Travel IT team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining database administration frameworks, principles, and rules, ensuring high levels of database integrity and availability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing database frameworks from scratch, working closely with peer groups and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

* Establish and maintain database administration frameworks, principles, and rules, ensuring high levels of database integrity and availability

  • Collaborate with the Development team and Server Administrators to drop/add parts, record maintenance, including Reorgs, data cleansing, etc.
  • Audit and approve Structures, table, and list creation using the Turnover cycle
  • Maintain detailed documentation of database Plan/Design and arrangement
  • Establish methods for backup/restore and disaster recovery
  • Establish database security methods
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulations
  • Provide support to the client community using incident and issue management tools
  • Send and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases/DB projects across a range of current SQL Server versions in both physical and virtual environments
  • Collaborate with the Development team on creating and assessing stored procedures, tables, files, etc.
  • Analyze and address code issues and shortcomings in progress related to potential blocking, deadlocks, and gridlocks
  • Work with colleagues to establish routine maintenance, monitoring, warning, and gathering metrics to proactively identify database-related issues, and keep all databases highly available and highly responsive at all times
  • Design and monitor grouping, including Always On and Failover clustering
  • Plan and assemble functional foundation to support our databases, automating where possible
  • Create users, assign roles, and manage permissions

Essential Qualifications

* 5+ years' MS SQL Database Administration experience in an e-commerce environment

  • 3+ years' experience in social database execution procedures
  • 3+ years' experience using Execute SQL
  • 3+ years' database design and engineering following accepted procedures in an OLTP environment
  • Strong knowledge of high availability and Disaster Recovery design
  • Experience in Execution Tuning and Scope organization
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure database services and offerings
  • Understanding of industry best practices relating to social database administration frameworks
  • Knowledge of database availability at intelligent and actual levels
  • Ability to work off-hours as required, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties on a rotational basis
  • Ability to follow needs, meet time constraints, and adhere to change management procedures
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner while communicating across staff levels and internal/external clients
  • Ability to work independently and as a key member of a team

* Experience with database design and implementation using Entity Framework

  • Experience with database security and access control
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
  • Experience with database monitoring and alerting tools
  • Experience with database scripting and automation
