As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing data entry tasks, handling customer inquiries, and providing support to our pharmacists and other staff members. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize arenaflex's data entry techniques and rules to process new patient enrollments and enter information into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Investigate to acquire missing prescription information and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve data entry issues related to exceptions and handle correspondence with patients, including inbound calls, chats, and messages.
- Settle third-party rejections by inspecting, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to guarantors and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve third-party rejections.
- Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those in different locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing reports, and accessing information online.
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating back/forward/stop buttons, and filling out forms online.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certificate/registration by the state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification organization.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
