Nokia Bell Labs is a global leader in connectivity for the AI era and is seeking a Machine Learning and AI Intern. The role involves researching and developing advanced algorithms, evaluating their performance, and prototyping experimental systems.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop advanced machine learning and AI algorithms to address complex problems
  • Evaluate model and algorithm performance using both real-world and large-scale simulated datasets
  • Design and prototype experimental systems that demonstrate and validate research innovations
  • Propose, investigate, and publish novel research in top-tier conferences and peer-reviewed journals

Skills

  • Currently a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field with an accredited school in the US
  • Proven ability to design and implement innovative AI and machine learning algorithms
  • Strong algorithmic reasoning and software development skills, with expertise in PyTorch
  • Published research in reputable conferences and journals demonstrating scholarly contribution
  • Knowledge or research experience in Agentic AI and autonomous decision-making systems
  • Experience training and evaluating models through pre-training, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning
