Job Summary
As a Senior Gear Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for supporting our crew across all disciplines, identifying workflow inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance our development process. You will collaborate with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to generate candidate answers, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected solution. Additionally, you will be accountable for assisting, developing, and preserving our proprietary engine-specific and custom gear.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify inefficiencies and elaborate areas for improvement in our development process across various disciplines
- Preserve, extend, and aid our present development gear
- Build and guide custom asset pipelines
- Grow arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
- Collaborate with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to generate candidate answers, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected solution
- Assist in the adoption of the solution by the team
Essential Qualifications
* A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work
- Experience with the overall device lifecycle, including identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
- Enjoy working with custom standalone gear
- Experience growing gear that can be utilized by multiple game development disciplines
- Proficiency in C#, C++, and Python
- Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with custom game engines, including Unreal or Unity
- Knowledge of JavaScript and Net Tech
- Familiarity with required utility materials
