Key Responsibilities

• * Ensure all transcriptions comply with legal and medical regulations, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
• * Communicate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff when clarification is needed on specific details.
• * Meet daily/weekly transcription deadlines while maintaining quality and precision.
• * Maintain organized records of transcribed documents for future reference.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Proficient in medical terminology, transcription procedures, and knowledge of medical office procedures.
• * Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand varied accents and dialects.
• * Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy (minimum of 60 WPM).
• * Proficient in transcription software and word processing applications.
• * Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• * Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset.
• Experience
• * Previous experience in medical transcription is preferred but not required.
• * Experience in the healthcare field (e.g., medical assistant, nurse, or other related positions) is beneficial.
• * Prior experience in transcription or similar roles will be considered an advantage.
