Role: Senior Product Manager focused on AI-powered growth and category expansion Location: Remote Type: Contract

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager focused on AI-powered growth and category expansion, you will lead initiatives that expand manufacturing menu, unlock new categories, and drive marketplace growth. You will work at the intersection of product strategy, category management, data science, and engineering to scale new manufacturing capabilities, improve customer access to those capabilities, and accelerate revenue growth. This role is ideal for a PM who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building 0 1 and 1 N products, and can partner deeply with machine learning teams while driving alignment across a wide set of stakeholders. This is a 1-year contract. Key Responsibilities<>Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and articulate a product vision for expanding manufacturing offerings, aligned with growth, category, and marketplace strategy.
  • Build and own a roadmap focused on unlocking new manufacturing categories, expanding the supported menu, and increasing customer adoption and revenue.
  • Partner with category management to identify high-impact opportunities across processes, materials, tolerances, and services.
  • Balance near-term growth opportunities with longer-term platform investments that enable scalable expansion.

<>Product Development & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with data science and machine learning teams to develop models that support category expansion, capability matching, cost estimation, and lead-time prediction.
  • Translate category and business needs into clear product requirements for engineering teams, including APIs, backend services, and workflow automation.
  • Drive experimentation (A/B tests, controlled rollouts) to validate new categories, features, and customer experiences.
  • Ensure products are scalable, measurable, and operationally viable as new capabilities are introduced.

<>Growth, Customer & Market Insights

  • Partner with sales, operations, and customer teams to understand customer needs, friction points, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze marketplace data to identify gaps in coverage, demand trends, and opportunities to increase conversion and order value.
  • Define and track KPIs related to growth, category adoption, customer experience, and revenue impact.
  • Use insights from experiments and performance data to continuously refine product strategy.

<>Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the connective tissue between category management, data science, machine learning, software engineering, operations, and UX.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders with clear goals, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and strategic tradeoffs to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Champion customer-centric and data-driven decision making across teams.

Qualifications<>Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of growth, platform, or data-driven products.
  • Experience working on AI/ML-enabled products or highly analytical platforms in a marketplace, e-commerce, SaaS, or industrial context.
  • Proven ability to launch and scale new product capabilities or categories in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

<>Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of machine learning concepts, data analytics, and experimentation methodologies.
  • Experience partnering closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers to ship production systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding) or complex supply-demand marketplaces is a plus.

<>Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong bias toward execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces and driving clarity through structure and data.
