Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to play a vital role in our Intake team. As a Medical Office Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming faxes and communications from doctor's offices, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. Your primary focus will be on reviewing faxes, determining the appropriate routing, and accurately inputting new patient referrals into our computer system to create electronic medical records. Additionally, you will provide backup support to our receptionist, answer phones, and collaborate with the rest of the intake team to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process incoming faxes and communications from healthcare providers
  • Determine the appropriate routing for incoming faxes and communications
  • Accurately input new patient referrals into our computer system to create electronic medical records
  • Provide backup support to the receptionist, answering phones and responding to inquiries
  • Collaborate with the intake team to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and families
