[Remote] Performance Designer and Video Editor

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SamCart is looking for a Performance Designer and Video Editor who understands acquisition, conversion, and performance marketing. The role involves producing high-quality landing pages, ads, and videos, collaborating with the Head of Acquisition and other teams to create conversion-driving assets.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-converting ad creative (static, animated, and video) for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and any other ad platforms needed
  • Design landing pages grounded in acquisition & conversion principles
  • Produce weekly batches of new creative that perform—rapid iteration on winners/losers
  • Edit and animate video ads optimized for scroll-stopping hooks and strong CTAs
  • Own the creative pipeline for performance: concepting → execution → iteration
  • Create landing pages, product and feature pages, and promotional pages for website, promotions, launches, paid traffic, and A/B tests
  • Develop graphics, illustrations, and short-form animations that elevate SamCart’s brand across channels
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, and visual systems that bring ideas to life
  • Uphold and evolve SamCart’s design guidelines, ensuring consistency across all paid and organic touchpoints
  • Edit and produce compelling video content for paid ads, social, email, and product marketing
  • Convert raw footage into long-form videos that get 50,000+ views on YouTube
  • Create short-form videos for Instagram
  • Convert raw footage into high-engagement assets with strong narrative structure and pacing
  • Apply UI/UX animation and motion graphics principles for product-driven videos
  • Ideate and test creative for all stages of the funnel—cold traffic ads, retargeting, product education, and activation
  • Collaborate with marketing, copywriting, and product design teams to support campaigns and launches
  • Stay on top of social and creator-economy trends to inform creative strategy
  • Use AI tools regularly and work AI into your creative and daily workflow

Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing design, video production, motion graphics, or similar hybrid creative roles
  • Proven design experience creating high-converting landing pages and ads
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital marketing creative, ad concepts, landing page design, and motion/video work
  • Mastery of Figma, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator (or equivalent), and Descript
  • Experience with Framer or similar website platform
  • Proficiency filming and editing video content for paid social and organic channels
  • Experience with audio production and mixing
  • Ability to script, storyboard, animate, and edit without hand-holding
  • Deep understanding of acquisition, paid social ecosystems (especially Meta), and creative strategies that convert
  • Experience working with SaaS, eCommerce, or the Creator Economy
  • Ability to analyze creative performance and revise concepts quickly
  • Strong grasp of social media platforms and how content behaves across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc
  • Strong understanding of AI and uses AI regularly in workflow
  • Operates with ownership and minimal direction; thrives in fast-moving environments
  • Strong organization, communication, and deadline orientation
  • Growth mindset: loves learning, experimenting, and staying on top of trends
  • Comfortable on camera; experience as a creator or freelancer
