Research & Partnership interviews for HubSpot consultants, accountants, and SEO agencies only - Contract to Hire
Summary
We’re building a new solution for growth-focused businesses and want to speak directly with the people who advise them every day. I’m looking to interview and potentially collaborate with:
- HubSpot / CRM / Marketing Ops consultants & agencies
- Accountants / CPA firms who work with small–mid sized businesses or DTC/eCommerce brands
- SEO-only agencies (content/technical/link-building), NOT doing PPC / paid ads
This is not a typical “execution” project. Think of it as a paid research + partnership exploration call. If there’s a fit, there may be follow-on work. - Who we’re specifically looking for Please only apply if you match at least one of these profiles: 1. HubSpot / CRM / Marketing Ops specialists
- You implement HubSpot or similar CRMs.
- You help clients with lifecycle, lead management, data hygiene, reporting.
- You are not the media buying agency (others usually handle paid ads).
2. Accountants / CPAs / Virtual CFOs
- You work with small–mid size businesses, DTC brands, or service businesses.
- You help them with financials, budgeting, forecasting, profitability.
- You are not running their Google/Facebook/TikTok ads.
3. Pure-play SEO agencies / consultants
- You focus on organic search: technical SEO, content, links, rankings.
- You do not manage paid media or act as the agency of record for ads.
- Your clients often ask you “who should we use for ads?” or “how do we scale paid?”
- What this project is (Phase 1) We will book 1–2 paid sessions with you initially (via Upwork):
- 30–60 minute Zoom/Meet/Teams call, recorded for internal notes only.
- We’ll ask about:
- Your service model & client profile
- What growth challenges you see your clients struggling with
- How you currently handle requests around paid ads / creative / performance marketing
- What an ideal partner or add-on service would look like for you
You’ll also have a chance to ask questions and share your perspective on:
- What you need from partners like us
- What would make a referral or white-label model worthwhile & safe for you
- Where you think this could fit in your current business
We’ll pay you for your time on Upwork for these research/consulting sessions, regardless of whether we decide to work together long-term. - What this might lead to (later phases) If there’s a strong alignment, we may explore:
- A structured partner / reseller / referral model
- Simple ways for you to offer additional services to your existing clients (e.g. performance creative, paid media audits, funnel builds)
- Joint offers where you stay the “trusted advisor” and we deliver a specialist component behind the scenes
Anything ongoing that happens via Upwork will be scoped & paid as separate contracts here. -
Requirements
- You do NOT currently operate as a media-buying agency of record (no “we run all their ads”).
- You have at least 3 active clients in your service line (HubSpot/CRM, accounting, or SEO).
- You’re comfortable discussing:
- your client mix (no names needed),
- typical budgets / problems,
- how you currently handle growth/marketing questions from them.
- Strong English communication (spoken) – we’ll be having live calls.
- Nice-to-have
- Experience collaborating with other agencies / vendors.
- You already receive inbound questions like “Can you recommend someone for ads / media / performance creative?”
- You are thinking about expanding your service portfolio without hiring a full internal ads team.
