Avetta connects networks of safe workers, companies, and assets. We help our clients manage risk, increase productivity, and ensure the safety of their workforce – including contracting companies, workers and assets in our cloud-based platform. This role requires a hybrid schedule in our Sydney or Auckland office (3 days on site, 2 days work from home). At this time, only candidates who currently reside within commutable distance to those offices are being considered. Please note: This role requires full working rights in Australia or New Zealand, without current or future sponsorship. Proof of this is required to be produced during the final stages of the selection process. SUMMARY The eLearning Manager oversees the development and implementation of quality online learning for customers that use our products. They lead and are responsible for the performance of the eLearning team, ensuring projects are on time and delivered to a high standard. The role also has direct accountability for leading Avetta’s global eTraining initiative — building a scalable training content library, partnering with providers, and driving global adoption to enhance our customer value proposition. This includes launching and optimising the eTraining ecosystem. Job scoping, budgeting, business planning and reporting are critical deliverables in the role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to scope client-specific training needs and promote eLearning services. Oversee prioritisation of projects, manage interdependencies, assign resources, and remove roadblocks. Lead, manage and grow a team of eLearning developers and assistants. Lead the delivery of Avetta’s global eTraining initiative, change management to drive adoption of eTraining across global customer bases, and use data to influence engagement strategies. Review supplier catalogues and select relevant modules to populate the eTraining library, ensuring breadth and depth of content. Evaluate and engage external providers, ensuring content is high quality, relevant, compatible with Avetta’s LMS, and aligned with legislative and industry requirements. Conduct cost analysis, negotiate provider rates, and support partnership agreements alongside internal procurement team members. Manage supplier relationships and source new providers to maintain a leading-edge eTraining portfolio. Monitor content usage and optimise the library, working with providers, SMEs and developers to refresh and expand the offering. Support LMS integration by working closely with product and other stakeholders to evolve product integration over time. Cross-functional alignment: Act as a strategic connector between Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure training solutions meet evolving organisation needs. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: Years of experience: 3+ years of experience in related areas - instructional design, learning delivery and/or learning technology. Experience in leading and managing teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills to evaluate, analyse, and interpret information. Strategic thinker: ability to overcome obstacles; takes an organised and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. METRICS THAT MATTER: Developing and achieving objectives in the annual business plan that are aligned to Avetta’s strategic initiatives. Use feedback to drive service continuous improvement i.e. client surveys, eLearn user data and compliance stats etc. PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of adult education, eLearning concepts and tools, and instructional design. Hands-on experience with training and assessment design tools is desirable but not essential. Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels to identify revenue growth opportunities.
