As a Senior Construction Projects Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our construction projects forward, leveraging your expertise in project coordination, budgeting, and team leadership to deliver exceptional results.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Construction Projects Manager to oversee multiple large and complex construction projects, typically valued at $1M or more, from initial test-fit through to project close-out. As a remote role, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere while maintaining a high level of collaboration with our internal project team and external vendors. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of construction and renovation projects, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, to ensure that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary owner representative for external design and construction vendors and FF&E providers, while leading an internal project team to achieve project objectives.
  • Select and manage Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project status and communication.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and critical path schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Negotiate, document, and execute contracts (AIA Documents) in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of internal partners and external vendors to maximize benefits for HNB.
  • Develop and manage centralized Benchmarking of completed project costs and other metrics to inform future project decisions.
  • Provide timely internal reporting as required and support the development of Construction Project Managers and the Construction department.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Construction Management.
  • At least 7 years of experience in construction project and renovation project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or other project management software.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • A BS degree in Construction Management or a related field of study.
  • Professional Certification, such as PMP, CPM, CCIM, LEED, etc.
  • 15+ years of experience working in Corporate Real Estate or Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering projects and/or programs over $10 Million in total value.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices, furniture systems, and real estate transactions.
  • A successful track record of leading cross-functional project teams and delivering integrated projects, including ground-up development and interior build-outs.
