Clearco is the leader of AI, data-driven ecommerce funding and has advanced over $2.5 billion in non-dilutive capital to over 10,000 businesses. Our revolutionary Invoice Funding product allows entrepreneurs to fund their expenses–including marketing and inventory–without giving up cash flow so they can plan for the future. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Clearco customers to reach robust credit decisions following established risk frameworks
  • Perform detailed financial statement analysis to evaluate the financial health of businesses and effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the credit team to develop and refine risk frameworks and underwriting processes
  • Support ad-hoc requests and projects from internal stakeholders, often with time constraints
  • Test and validate financial metrics and ratios used in Clearco's financial statement analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain working knowledge of Clearco's internal financial underwriting framework, authorization limits and escalation processes
  • Perform KYB/KYC checks in accordance with internal compliance procedures to identify and flag business risks
  • Conduct regular analysis of portfolio segments to identify emerging risks and support remediation planning
  • Advise on process improvements and operational efficiencies within the underwriting workflow
  • Stay current on underwriting best practices and industry developments

You will thrive if you have:

  • Graduated from an analytics, business, accounting, economics, or finance program
  • 3-5 years of finance, credit underwriting, consulting, commercial banking, or analytics experience
  • Solid experience in financial underwriting, credit analysis, and risk management
  • Working knowledge of SMB credit underwriting, preferably in a commercial banking or specialty finance environment
  • Strong analytical abilities to break down complex problems and develop clear solutions
  • Experience with technical platforms such as CRMs, SQL, Tableau, or similar data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with e-commerce business models and key performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team framework
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-performing environments
  • Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with revenue-based finance, fintech, or alt finance products
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to privacy, KYC, and AML protocols
  • Experience with statistical analysis and report writing, particularly with e-commerce brands
  • Understanding of process automation and operational efficiency concepts
  • Customer-facing experience in a professional services context

What we're looking for:

  • Results-oriented approach with a track record of meeting goals and deadlines
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to take on increasing responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining efficiency in high-volume environments
  • Collaborative spirit with ability to build positive relationships across teams
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs in a dynamic fintech environment
  • Professional maturity to handle sensitive financial information and make sound judgments
