Junior Medical Coder (Work From Home)

Job Summary AGS Health, a leading provider of revenue cycle management and healthcare solutions, is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Junior Medical Coders to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and translating clinical documentation into standardized codes used for billing, compliance, and data management. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  • Ensure accurate coding in compliance with client requirements, federal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Validate codes based on physician documentation and clinical details.
  • Collaborate with auditors, team leads, and physicians to clarify documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain accuracy and productivity benchmarks as defined by project standards.
  • Stay updated on current coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits and training programs to continually enhance coding accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Good understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems (training will be provided for eligible candidates).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and basic computer applications.

Experience

  • Freshers and entry-level candidates with relevant academic backgrounds are welcome to apply.
  • Prior internship or certification in medical coding (e.g., AAPC or AHIMA) will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible work-from-home schedule based on project requirements.
  • Standard shifts aligned with US healthcare operations (night or rotational shifts).
  • Full-time position with a five-day working week.

  • Sound knowledge of medical science and healthcare documentation.
