About the Role

We're seeking a talented and experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you'll provide critical support in the design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for various utilities and infrastructure projects. This is a unique chance to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the development of Disney's iconic theme parks and resorts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the Civil Engineering Group, including design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water control, water treatment, potable water, and other utilities. Assist in the development of project scope, presentation of trade design solutions, research, site reconnaissance, record preparation, and field support for all phases of engineering projects. Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams to prepare and coordinate internal engineering project deliverables. Ensure compliance with local codes, corporate design guidelines, and standards. Understand the importance of engineering due diligence and its impact on project success.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong understanding of civil engineering principles, with expertise in grading, hydrology/hydraulics, detention/retention ponds, sanitary and storm sewerage, potable water, and software coordination. Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant software. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Active membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
