About Us: We are a digital media company and content site that provides creative content for the book-loving community. On Facebook and social media, we connect passionate millennials through Facebook Live, blog articles, and other interactive content. On the website, you can read up on news, articles, and essays on the newest book trends, view entertaining videos and exchange recommendations with others. Bookstr takes a look at literature, comics, poetry and publishing with a playful, examining eye in order to get good books off the shelves and into your hands. Every week, we are sure to train you on the ever evolving best practices and trends in social media, that many schools might not teach. Making this internship a valuable learning experience is very important to the Bookstr brand. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for assisting in scheduling social media content and community management, creating copy and captions for Instagram, Facebook and all other platfoms, and assisting with social media strategy. As you'll see from looking at our profiles, we have a large, engaged audience, and all original content. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in entering the social media and content fields. We are a close-knit team that work virtually. This is not a pick-up coffee, get our lunch internship. You will learn a lot and be expected to contribute. Responsibilities will include: -Learning and mastering Bookstr's tools, platforms, and style guide -Scheduling and posting across multiple platforms -Responding and interacting with Bookstr's audience -Being part of special projects with social media influencers and content creators -Collaborating with graphics, video and editorial departments -Projects that you can lead so that you can have specific accomplishments to add to your resume -SEO knowledge a plus, but not a requirement - If you are part of our Reels or Tiktok, you create scripts and learn best practices around presenting. Part-time only - 20 hours maximum per week. Hours are flexible. This position is open to both current college students and graduates.
