Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries via phone, providing account maintenance, refund inquiries, and password resets, as well as handling online State Registration requirements. You will also perform light to moderate research using online web tools and maintain a working knowledge of current tax laws and policies. As a customer service representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers either by phone or in person, providing timely and friendly support
  • Review confidential tax information and provide account maintenance according to tax laws and policies and procedures
  • Provide customer support for online self-service functions through the Georgia Tax Center
  • Provide knowledgeable and accurate information in a timely and friendly manner, utilizing technology for advanced support
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current tax laws and policies, remaining abreast of revised policies, procedures, regulations, and tax laws to accurately educate, advise, and direct internal and external customers

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong skillset in customer service, communication, and problem-solving. The minimum entry qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED and six months of call center experience handling customer questions, complaints, and/or providing information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-volume Contact Service environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish or second language, with good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Previous experience working in a remote-based call center environment

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including $15.00 per hour for non-bilingual representatives and $17.00 per hour for bilingual representatives. Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Tax Clearance Letter stating that you do not owe any state taxes. You must also be able to work in a remote-based environment and have a reliable internet connection and computer equipment.
