Job Summary

As an Experienced Full Stack Server Farm Operations Manager at blithequark, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of server farm operations across multiple locations. You will lead a team of experienced professionals, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety, security, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness of our server farm operations, while driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead a team of server farm operations professionals, providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives

• Develop and implement server farm design and development strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in server farm operations, including electrical and mechanical engineering, data center design, and IT infrastructure development
• Ensure the safety, security, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness of server farm operations, including risk assessment and mitigation, compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintenance of critical infrastructure
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure effective resource allocation and financial management
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to share ideas, best practices, and lessons learned
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in server farm operations

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline

• 6+ years of experience in a leadership role, with 5+ years of direct management experience and 2+ years of experience managing directors
• 10+ years of experience working in data center or server farm operations, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air-handling units, CRAC units, and other critical infrastructure components
• Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong technical expertise in server farm operations, including electrical and mechanical engineering, data center design, and IT infrastructure development
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and develop effective solutions to complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline

• High-level electrical or mechanical certifications, such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) certification
• Proven experience in server farm design and development, including experience with data center design tools, such as Autodesk Revit or IBM Tivoli
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, and tools, such as Jira or Asana
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including those related to data center design, electrical and mechanical systems, and IT infrastructure development
