Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Data Entry professional to execute accounting functions with detail and accuracy in the areas of cash receipts (CR), accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger documentation, and account reconciliation. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing account payable & receivable transactions, researching and resolving invoice discrepancies, and communicating with vendors and customers regarding payment status and questions.

Responsibilities

As an Accounting and Data Entry professional at blithequark, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Reviews and processes account payable & receivable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Responds to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and provides clear and concise information
  • Prepares and sends remittance information to vendors as required
  • Reviews periodic statements from vendors and requests/processes any missing transactions in a timely manner
  • Communicates with vendors to answer payable questions and resolves any issues
  • Sets up and verifies new vendor information to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Completes Accounts Receivable duties such as applying customer payments and preparing invoicing documents
  • Communicates with customers regarding receivable questions and resolves any issues
  • Prepares and provides reporting of outstanding or disputed transactions on a monthly basis
  • Participates as a member of the accounting team and accomplishes related results as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of expertise in data entry, delivering accurate and efficient data management
  • 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role:

  • Experience with accounting software and systems
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • Experience working in a non-profit or healthcare organization
  • Certification in accounting or a related field
