Job Summary

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members of a Medicare Advantage plan. You will be the primary point of contact for members, handling inbound calls, resolving issues, and escalating concerns to the next level when necessary. Your strong communication skills, empathy, and dedication to active listening will make a significant difference in the lives of our members.

Responsibilities

* Provide excellent customer service to members of a Medicare Advantage plan, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.

  • Manage a senior population by exhibiting a strong dedication to showing empathy and using active listening skills to hear members and their concerns.
  • Document calls appropriately to reflect each interaction with the members, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Meet and exceed contact center targets for call management, quality, and adherence to schedule, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Manage all calls with professionalism, escalating calls when necessary to the next level, and ensuring seamless communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues, provide solutions, and improve overall member satisfaction.

Operational Hours and Work-Life Balance

Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm EST, with varying shifts available within these hours. During open enrollment, our operation hours will change to include weekends as part of the work shift. We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.

Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in health insurance/Medicare/Medicaid customer service, with a strong background in handling complex calls.

  • 1 year of customer service experience in a call center environment, with proficiency in using QNXT.
  • Member Service knowledge, HIPAA, Claims, and Provider Services knowledge, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations.
  • High School graduate or GED; 2-4 years undergraduate degree or certificate is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in using dual monitors, multiple applications, and phone simultaneously, with strong keyboard skills and accuracy in data entry.

Compensation and Benefits

* Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications.

  • Eligibility for blithequark's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of blithequark's applicable plans.
