Job Overview

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls from customers with early-stage delinquent auto finance accounts, providing friendly and helpful service to resolve account issues and payment reminders. Your expertise in collection efforts, compliance, and security measures will be essential in identifying quick and acceptable solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and handle calls regarding accounts and related questions, utilizing appropriate compliance and security measures to identify customers and protect against fraud
  • Actively listen and ask questions to determine customer needs, ensuring proper routing of calls and/or presentation of solutions to their inquiries
  • Collect on assigned delinquent accounts in a timely and effective manner, within established guidelines
  • Document all communications and transactions of material manner with customers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Protect the confidentiality of all aspects of blithequark's operations, portfolio, customer information, and computer technology
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including FDCPA, TCPA, and Rees-Levering, among others
  • Actively participate in team meetings to improve workflows, collection processes, and department efficiencies, contributing to the growth and success of our team

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work effectively in a high-pressure, high-volume environment, maintaining professionalism and composure in challenging situations
  • Display empathy and understanding when interacting with customers, providing personalized support and solutions
  • Handle customer questions with a goal of resolving all issues within the first contact/call, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, articulating complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Refer available services to meet customers' needs, promoting blithequark's products and services
  • Utilize excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite products, to efficiently manage customer interactions and data
  • Contribute to department projects as assigned, supporting the achievement of team goals and objectives
  • Perform other related duties as business needs arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Remote Customer Service Specialist at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in customer service, collections, or a related field
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues, and meeting performance targets
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including FDCPA, TCPA, and Rees-Levering
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, maintaining productivity and motivation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the auto finance industry or a related field
  • Certifications in collections, customer service, or a related field
