Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the life-saving specialty medications they need in a timely and efficient manner. You will be responsible for handling new and reorder requests, verifying and renewing benefits, and collaborating with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders that have issues or clinical concerns.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle phone calls from patients and healthcare providers to process new and reorder requests for specialty medications
- Verify and renew patient benefits to ensure seamless processing of orders
- Collaborate with patients to decipher and enter new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Collect and process copay sums, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with issues or clinical concerns
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and improve processes
