Job Summary

As an Experienced Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced forecasting algorithms that address business challenges in retail. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to generate key insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise in statistical and mathematical techniques, combined with your experience in machine learning and data science, will enable you to develop and implement solutions that drive growth and improvement in retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the development and implementation of advanced forecasting algorithms that address business challenges in retail

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to generate key insights that drive business decisions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and develop solutions that drive growth and improvement in retail operations
• Develop and implement statistical and mathematical techniques to analyze complex data and identify trends and patterns
• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to design and implement data pipelines and architectures that support data-driven decision making
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including business leaders and technical teams
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, data engineers, and scientists
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in data science and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in retail operations

Essential Qualifications

* Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, or a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field

• At least 7 years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist, including experience with advanced machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering, and forecasting
• Experience with the development and implementation of analytical and data science modeling solutions using techniques such as data mining, machine learning, or text mining
• Experience with mathematical concepts, algorithms, and computational complexity
• Experience working with large datasets and developing solutions that drive business decisions
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and JavaScript
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, R, and Python
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Kubernetes
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, and Trello
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS

* Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical techniques, including regression, clustering, and forecasting

• Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning
