Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team at blithequark. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing our data platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from building high-performance data pipelines to designing scalable data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing our data platform, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation
  • Building high-performance data pipelines and data architectures
  • Designing and implementing scalable data solutions that meet the needs of our users
  • Working with data engineers and data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models
  • Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and errors
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and machine learning

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and developing data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering principles and practices, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS or Azure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks
