Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Remote Podcast Community Moderator to join our growing team. This role is crucial in fostering a vibrant, safe, and engaging environment for our podcast creators and listeners across various platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring discussions, responding to inquiries, facilitating positive interactions, and ensuring adherence to community guidelines for Spotify’s expansive podcast ecosystem. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and moderate user-generated content, comments, and discussions across various Spotify podcast-related platforms (e.g., forums, social media, app comments) to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to community inquiries, feedback, and concerns, escalating complex issues to relevant internal teams when necessary.
  • Facilitate positive engagement and discussions among podcast creators and listeners, sparking conversations and encouraging participation.
  • Enforce community guidelines and policies consistently, addressing violations with appropriate actions (e.g., warnings, content removal, temporary bans).
  • Identify and report trending topics, common issues, and community sentiment to inform content strategies and product improvements.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and support teams to align moderation efforts with broader company goals and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of community guidelines and moderation best practices.
  • Help organize and promote virtual community events or Q&A sessions for podcast creators.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community management, social media moderation, or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Deep understanding of online community dynamics and best practices for fostering positive interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations, conflicts, and enforce policies with tact and impartiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms and community management tools.
  • Passion for podcasts and the audio content industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale global communities.
  • Familiarity with Spotify's platform and podcast ecosystem.
  • Additional language skills (e.g., French, Spanish).
  • Experience in crisis management or public relations.
  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
