About the Job

As a local truck driver at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our dedicated customers. A typical day for our drivers involves arriving at our terminal in Liverpool, NY, and embarking on a route that covers approximately 600 miles, with a focus on drop and hook work. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of customers, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service. With a dedicated truck and a consistent schedule, you can expect a routine that remains relatively unchanged from week to week, allowing you to plan and prepare with ease.

Key Highlights of the Job

  • Competitive average weekly pay: $1,200 - $1,500
  • Average miles per week: 3,000 - 3,250
  • Local, dedicated routes with minimal changes
  • Day shift schedule with no slip seating
  • Dedicated truck (2014 or newer Freightliners and Western Stars)
  • No driver load/unload requirements

Core Responsibilities

As a local truck driver at blithequark, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of your vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure safety, legality, and security
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
  • Being available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules
  • Submitting customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
  • Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Engaging in daily customer interactions and fostering positive relationships

Hiring Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only
  • Have a minimum of 12 months of tractor-trailer experience
