Responsibilities
As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders
- Processing and verifying customs documentation, including import and export records, to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures
- Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and government agencies to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., international business, logistics, supply chain management)
- At least 6 months of experience in a data entry or customs-related role
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including HS codes and tariff classifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with customs software and systems (e.g., ACE, AES)
- Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations
- Familiarity with freight forwarding and logistics operations
- Certification in customs brokerage or a related field (e.g., CTPAT, ACE)
