Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and your ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently, and maintain a high level of customer service will be essential to your success in this role.

Scheduling and Work Environment

Scheduling for this position is based on operational needs, and shifts can range from early morning to overnight. You can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. As a Ramp Agent, you will be working in a dynamic environment, both indoors and outdoors, and will be required to work in harsh weather conditions, such as heat, rain, and snow. Your safety and the safety of others will be a top priority, and you will be required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Be proficient in English
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT)
  • Be able to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal

Preferred Qualifications

While there are no preferred qualifications for this role, any relevant experience or training in airport operations, customer service, or a related field will be considered an asset.
