About the Role

As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data. You'll be responsible for operating data entry devices, such as keyboards and computers, to verify and input critical information. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our data management processes.

Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Data Entry and Verification: Read source documents (e.g., canceled checks, sales reports, bills) and accurately enter data into specified fields or onto storage devices.
  • Data Compilation and Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data prior to entry, ensuring that all information is complete and up-to-date.
  • Error Identification and Correction: Identify and correct data entry errors, reporting issues to supervisors as necessary to maintain data integrity.
  • Data Comparison and Validation: Compare entered data with source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain logs of activities and completed work, providing a clear audit trail for all data entry processes.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience in data entry or a similar role, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Documentation Skills: Capable of accurately documenting and recording customer/client information, maintaining confidentiality and discretion when necessary.
