Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

• Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Providing excellent customer service through active listening, empathy, and effective communication
• Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively, adhering to strict data protection protocols
• Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive and resourceful
• Appropriately communicating with customers to ensure their needs are met and concerns are addressed
• Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise, using your excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
• Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes, ensuring that customer interactions are accurately documented and analyzed
• Providing feedback on call issues to help improve our customer service processes and procedures
• Upselling when required, using your knowledge of our products and services to identify opportunities for growth and development

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• The ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment, using your own equipment and technology to stay connected with our team
• 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or similar environment
• To be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent
• To be able to type 25 words per minute, with excellent keyboarding skills and accuracy
• To be comfortable using a desktop computer system, with a reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
• Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concerns in a clear and concise manner
• The ability to recognize referral needs for customers, using your knowledge of our products and services to identify opportunities for growth and development
• The ability to work in an environment free from paper and electronics (outside of blithequark-provided equipment), with a dedicated workspace that is free from distractions

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be beneficial in this role:

• 6 months of call center experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
• Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
• Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• The ability to use Windows operating systems, with a basic understanding of computer software and technology
• Organization and work prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
