Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Medical Claims Processing and Provider Liaison at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary liaison with callers, providers, and members, ensuring timely and effective resolution of medical claims-related issues
  • Educating and informing customers via multiple communication channels about documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information, and claim status
  • Educating members and providers on client requirements and benefit plans, documenting all required details of the call in a concise and professional manner
  • Entering verbal and written application information into the claims management system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal and external customer requirements
  • Assigning new claims to the appropriate claims handler and directing customer calls to the appropriate contact at multiple locations or escalating to Service Center Specialist/management as needed
  • Maintaining a high level of attendance and adhering to scheduled work hours
  • Performing other duties as assigned, supporting the organization's quality program(s)

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex claims-related issues
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple calls simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
