Job Summary

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional telephone support to Aetna Medicaid members and providers. Your primary goal will be to assist with a wide range of inquiries, from eligibility and provider changes to requests for ID cards. To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to empathize with customers, and a keen sense of problem-solving.

Responsibilities

* Answer incoming member and provider calls, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs

  • Utilize high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to customers
  • Meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Work from home, with occasional commutes to the office in Richmond, VA when necessary

Training and Onboarding

As a new member of our team, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this role. Our training schedule is as follows:

  • First 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
  • Production schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday

Required Qualifications

* Must live within 50 miles of Richmond, VA

  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers orally and in written form
  • Ability to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals
  • Must be able to work from home and prove to be self-sufficient

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working remotely in a call center setting

  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare
  • High school diploma or equivalent
