Experienced IT Support Technician – Data Entry and Remote Access Specialist

As a key member of the Data Innovation Group within the Data Innovation Division, you will play a vital role in supporting our employees in all aspects of end-user computing, including software/equipment installations, upgrades, and maintenance of PC workstations and peripherals.

As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for resolving and closing tickets/work orders supporting end-user workstations and peripherals, answering client care issues raised from the Helpdesk, and collaborating with various teams to address framework-related issues. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, such as global deployments and redesigns, and contribute to the development of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

* Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting end-user workstations and peripherals

• Answers client care issues raised from the Helpdesk
• Collaborates with various teams to address framework-related issues
• Investigates and resolves demands using remote instruments
• Records client interactions in episode management framework, including resource management
• Recovers data from hard drives or performs data relocation
• Upholds remote access for virtual private network (VPN) availability as well as remote/broadband network for workstations
• Installs and designs local and organization-based printers
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Works various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and is ready to come in case of an emergency and travel as required
• Follows management direction, complying with IT strategy and policy
• Performs other duties as mentioned

What You'll Need for Success

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience/preparation

• 2 years of certified 'active' IT work experience supporting and resolving different PC workstation software and equipment issues
• Firsthand experience supporting workstations in a Windows/TCPIP environment
• A+ certification
• MCSE/MCP is an or more
• Past IT foundation experience in Aircraft/Airport climate
• Familiarity with VPN networks and ability to investigate issues
• Ability to work independently and act in a cooperative, team-based environment
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
