Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced remote pharmacy technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently in a remote setting. As a remote pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for processing prescription exceptions, entering member demographics and prescription information into our data processing system, and resolving rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues.

Key Responsibilities

* Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach * Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system * Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues * Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing * Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and prescription processing

Requirements

* 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience * Prior authorization experience * Excellent customer service skills * Strong computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health records and data processing systems * Ability to work independently in a remote setting with limited distractions * Strong Wi-Fi and ability to work remotely are required * HIPAA compliance is essential for this role * Ability to work a standard 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting * Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) * Experience with electronic health records and data processing systems * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
