Responsibilities
As a Part-time Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Transcribing source data into the required electronic format using various software applications
- Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
- Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
- Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any discrepancies
- Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
- Utilizing basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines
- Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
- Completing additional assigned tasks as required
- Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
- Experience with MS Office and data programs, such as Excel, Word, and Access
- Familiarity with administrative duties, including filing, record-keeping, and data management
