Job Summary
As an AWS Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions using AWS services. You will work closely with our IT architecture, operations, and project management teams to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical guidance for assigned solutions/opportunities. You will analyze existing systems and processes and provide input on ways to improve processes and system infrastructure. You will also provide detailed documentation for implemented solutions and necessary knowledge base articles to allow for operational and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and reviewing architectural designs to ensure they meet business requirements
- Writing and reviewing code for cloud infrastructure and automation scripts
- Participating in meetings with stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and processes
- Conducting training sessions for team members on cloud technologies and best practices
- Creating scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures using AWS services
- Developing architectural blueprints and detailed documentation
- Implementing cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Automating deployment processes and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Migrating AWS accounts into new AWS accounts
- Ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity during migrations
- Implementing and maintaining security best practices and compliance standards
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits
- Monitoring cloud performance and optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability
- Implementing monitoring and logging solutions to track system health
- Working closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members
- Staying updated with the latest AWS services and industry trends
- Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to improve cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure
Essential Qualifications
* AWS Expertise: 8+ years of in-depth knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc. working in similar roles
- Cloud Architecture: Ability to design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
- Scripting: Skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience with cloud migration and deployment
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
