Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced full-stack nurse practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals in a remote work-from-home setting. Key Responsibilities

As a nurse practitioner with Aetna, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment for acute and chronic conditions
  • Conducting thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, as well as providing education and counseling to patients and their families
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including lab results and imaging studies
  • Prescribing medications and treatments, as well as monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of best practices in healthcare

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure as a nurse practitioner (NP) in the state of practice
  • At least two years of clinically significant experience as a nurse practitioner, preferably in a primary care or community health setting
  • Completion of the Spot certification test within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to speak and write in multiple languages, including Spanish (dependent on market requirements)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and AED training
  • Ability to pass a FIT assessment and wear a provided respirator mask when required

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a nurse practitioner with MinuteClinic or a similar organization
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
  • Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
  • Certification in a specialty area, such as pediatrics or gerontology
