Frontend Web Developer- Mid Level OH, US - Remote (within location) Full-Time $80k - $100k / year We're always keeping our eyes out for great people—someone who loves collaboration with coworkers and clients, and believes collaboration leads to the best work. If you’re right for this position, you have solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (and applicable browser support) while being mindful of the diverse ecosystem of devices and connections. You've gained enough industry experience to have proven success shipping quality web products while collaborating with teams. You care about and are eager to learn the details of deployment, commit history, refactoring, web accessibility, sustainability and other development best practices. You understand the value of the product design and development lifecycle and are willing to dig deep on this topic. You have a standards-centric view of the web, know its limitations and possibilities, and care about performance and progressive enhancement. You’re curious about AI and open to exploring new tools and use cases in your work. You will be expected to help craft solutions to client needs, recognizing the constraints of each unique situation. You’ll work with our team of designers, project managers, and developers to turn those solutions into high-quality, well-tested websites and applications that are accessible to as many people as possible.

Requirements

We’re actively looking for individuals that will bring a diverse perspective to Sparkbox. Passion and humility are vital, as you’ll work directly with our designers, project managers, and other developers at Sparkbox. You’ll also interact with clients and should feel comfortable presenting work. You'll need to have a strong desire to continually learn, advance your skills, and push to find new processes. Basic Requirements: 4+ years delivering features as a frontend web developer JavaScript/TypeScript Frontend frameworks such as React, Svelte, Vue or Angular Modern CSS Clean, semantic HTML Web Components Git, Github or other version control Automated Testing (unit, E2E) Experience communicating with internal teams and external clients and stakeholders Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher) and Progressive Enhancement Exploration of AI tools and their applications Optional Skills that interest us: Netlify, Vercel or other deployment platforms Dynamic Pattern Libraries, Design Systems, Storybook WordPress, Drupal, Contentful and other CMS technologies Figma and translating designs to code Continuous Integration and Delivery Experience leading project teams Inclusive Mindset Sparkbox has been intentionally working to build a team where we acknowledge our own imperfections, make all feel welcome, and humbly help each other grow. Benefits & Compensation Our compensation amount for this role is targeted at $80,000 - $100,000 for all remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
