As a hybrid role, you will enjoy a mix of remote and in-office work, with a 2/3 days on/off schedule. Key Responsibilities

As a Project Associate, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems
  • Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
  • Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems
  • Making phone calls to Post-Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients
  • Running and creating reports to support data analysis and decision-making
  • Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
  • Scanning and indexing of documents to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business, healthcare, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Hospital patient accounting systems and medical records management software

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health information management or business administration
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Certification in medical records management or a related field, such as RHIT or CCS
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software
